i don’t know where the sun beams end and the star lights begins it’s all a mystery

So, I’m going to Bonnaroo this year. I’ve been thinking about going for a long time (going back a couple of years), but I decided to finally go before I move to Orlando. I wrote about it and other stuff going on in my life in my new blog: http://tylerswetzel.blogspot.com/

I will probably still use this for photos and videos, but I’m going to try and focus my social networking down to three sites - Blogspot, Twitter, and Facebook.

Ok, hope everyone is well. Peace out.

Hello again.

After a short hiatus from anything having to do with “social networking” - I have awkwardly stumbled back on.

Why this song? Why not.

My Grandpa Wetzel is in the Hospital ICU, he suffered a major stroke on Friday, fell and hit his head hard. The stroke affected most of his left brain and some of his right, caused by blockages in his veins, and, since his stroke, has developed pneumonia in his lungs. It doesn’t look to good, at all.

Please keep my Grandma and the rest of the family in your thoughts.

Muse/U2 - The 360° Tour - 10/09/09
Raymond James Stadium - Tampa, FL

In short, the show was amazing. Like the blink show a couple of weeks ago, it was hot, hot, HOT outside, record highs for Florida this time of year. The show broke the attendance record for the stadium. [The setlists of both bands are at the bottom.]

Muse started it all off, this was my first time seeing them - being a fan of theirs for a long time - it was great. I love ‘Starlight’ and was grateful that they played that. Muse announced that they’ll be starting an “extensive US tour” starting around the end of winter.

Before U2 came out, they played Bowie’s “Space Oddity” and got everyone in the mood. U2 killed it. You really couldn’t go wrong with their set. Bono and the boys even linked up live to the International Space Station to talk with Guy Laliberté, creator of the Cirque du Soleil and, as Bono said, The First Clown in Space. It was one of my favorite concerts, ever. Thanks to both bands.

The talk with Guy is here: http://broadcast.onedrop.org/ (start the video at 01:42:18)

blink-182 Reunion in Tampa

Short and sweet review.

I went to the blink show on September 27th in Tampa. It was really awesome, they have never sounded better (well, in the last few tours). The set was full of hits and selections from the last three albums, a good standard for a reunion. These were the openers for me: Asher Roth, The All-American Rejects, and Fall Out Boy. Roth sounds way too much like Eminem, other than that, forgettable, All-American Rejects were really good, I have always liked them, the lead guy was in a wheelchair with a cast on his leg due to an infection, and Fall Out Boy were not as shitty, but I still don’t like them.

The show was great - but very, very hot. Now to pictures…
